The lavish CG production is an astounding vision of the future

Nearly twenty years on from Luc Besson's astounding cult sci-fi classic 'The Fifth Element', the director returns to the genre with two decades of CG improvements in 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets' which has just dropped it's first trailer.

Loosely adapted from the 1967 French graphic novel 'Valérian and Laureline', the lavish production values of 'Valerian' go far beyond 'Fifth Element', with a $180 million budget that truly allows the auteur to conjur up any image from the famed director's mind.

Starring Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen and John Goodman, 'Valerian' is set to hit cinemas in 3D and 2D worldwide from July 21 2017.
