The Division adds DirectX 12 support

DirectX 12 now available in The Division, said to improve performance some.

The Division has added support for Microsoft's DirectX 12 API on the Public Test Server. Although not mentioned in the latest patch notes, reports confirm its inclusion as well as a small performance increase upon enabling it. If you have a lower-end CPU especially, utilizing it should benefit you.

It's unknown when the 1.5 patch will go live for everyone, but we'll keep you posted as always. It's possible between now and then, DX12 will be even further optimized.

Other additions include improved PvP in the Darkzone as well as the Survival DLC.
