Canadian company BlackBerry will be launching two mid-range smartphones this year, CEO John Chen revealed in an interview.
The news comes after the high-end Priv (pictured above) -- which featured a 5.4'' 1440x2560 AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, 32GB storage, and 3GB RAM -- failed to meet sales expectations. Chen admits it was "too high-end a product" for enterprise customers, which is why it dropped the price another $50 earlier this week.
The new phones don't have an exact time frame for launch just yet, but we'll keep you posted.
