Mortal Kombat XL announced for Xbox One and PS4, includes all DLC

The DLC-filled Mortal Kombat XL won't be hitting the PC, is exclusive to Xbox One and PS4.

Warner Bros has just announced Mortal Kombat XL, which isn't a sequel to Mortal Kombat X, but a new Special Edition of the game, including Mortal Komat X and all of its DLC.

NetherRealm Studios, the developer behind the game, has said that it will be an exclusive to Xbox One and PS4, and won't be released on the PC. A fan asked if the XL edition of Mortal Kombat X, or the Kombat Pack 2 DLC for MK X would be released for PC, with NetherRealm Studios replying with "Mortal Kombat XL and Kombat Pack 2 will available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only".

On top of that, NetherRealm Studios has new netcode for Mortal Kombat X, that won't be available for the PC. In the official FAQ for Mortal Kombat X Enhanced Online Beta, the developer is looking at MK X console players only. In the FAQ, they said: "We are looking for existing MKX console players who have logged at least ONE hour of Online Play. We will be reviewing all candidates who sign up to determine if they meet the requirements".
