Apple has launched its first integrated battery pack since the OG iPhone launched back in 2007. Named the Smart Battery Case, it's exclusively for the iPhone 6s and is said to offer strong protection and up to 25 extra hours of talk time, 18 extra hours of LTE Internet browsing, and 20 extra hours of media playback.
The Smart Battery Case is made with soft touch silicone and is lined with microfiber material. It features an elastomer hinge design for simple installation and removal, includes a Lightning port in the bottom of the case, and is compatible with the Lightning dock.
The downsides: as the Verge puts it, its design "looks like [the] iPhone ate an iPod", it can't charge from 0 to 100 percent since the battery is a weaker 1,877 mAh, and you can't control when it charges. The consensus across the web is it's a good case, but you're probably better served by a third party case that offers more value for less money (the Smart Battery Case is $99).
