Largest LAN in the world bought out for $28 million

Modern Times Group has recently gathered an $84 million, 74 percent stake in the Electronic Sports League, but were apparently looking at further gaming domination, just announcing a 100 percent buyout of DreamHack for a cool $28 million.

Known as the largest LAN party in the world, DreamHack further runs eSports events in-house and around the world, recently focusing on world-class CS:GO tournaments. This announcement follows news that this Swedish buyer will be able to run the DreamHack name in other countries in the near future.

The current DreamHack admin team will still run day-to-day operations, with MTG there to offer advice and assistance.
