The last thing we heard on Samsung's next-gen Galaxy S7 smartphones was that the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge would launch early next year, but now the rumors are pointing to a specific "Premium Edition" of the Galaxy S7 for South Korea.

The Galaxy S7 Premium Edition will reportedly rock a faster GPU, as well as a 4K display. The faster 14-core GPU would be a step up on the 12-core GPU that the 'normal' Galaxy S7 would feature. The Galaxy S7 Premium Edition could also be a very limited model, so much so that it would be limited to South Korea, the home of Samsung.

As for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge handsets, they will reportedly be split between the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Samsung's new Exynos 8 Octa 8890 which was unveiled this week.
