Sure, HTC might not be winning any races in the smartphone world right now, but it doesn't stop trying. The company is now preparing the purported One X9 smartphone, which will see the Taiwanese giant add some much-needed pixels to its display.
The One X9 smartphone should rock a 2560x1440 display, as well as 4GB of RAM. We don't know if it would be DDR3 or DDR4, but either way HTC is set to cram some serious hardware into the One X9. Inside, HTC is expected to deploy either a Helio X20 or Snapdragon 820 processor, but this isn't confirmed just yet.
On the back, we should see HTC making good use of a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera and inside, between 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. Battery wise, HTC is expected to use a 3500mAh battery, and use Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. When should we expect it? Sometime in 2016, with my guess being at MWC 2016 in February 2016.
