The total number of Xbox Live users sits at 49 million, with the total active count sitting at 39 million right now. Why the big uptick in users? Well, there have been some big releases lately like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Destiny: The Taken King to take into consideration. There are some even bigger games coming soon, such as Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider, which should see those numbers swell even more.
