In case you haven't noticed, but today is October 21, 2015 - the day when Doc and Marty travel to the future in Back to the Future II. Today is also Back to the Future Day, with every website, social media page and more filled with Back to the Future content.

Today, Nike presented Michael J. Fox with the first pair of self-lacing shoes, something we saw in Back to the Future II. Fox took to Twitter to show off the self-lacing shoes, with an 8-second video that we have embedded above. If you look closely when Fox is putting the shoes on, the laces slowly flatten when his foot slides into them. The shoes also make an awesome sound, too.

Nike is planning to launch a limited edition self-lacing shoe next year, which will be made available through a strict auction process. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Fox's Foundation for Parkinsons Research.

Anthony is a long time PC enthusiast with a passion of hate for games to be built around consoles. With FPS gaming since the pre-Quake days, where you were insulted if you used a mouse to aim, he has been addicted to gaming and hardware ever since. His addiction to GPU technology is unwavering, and with next-gen NVIDIA GPUs about to launch alongside 4K 144Hz HDR G-Sync gaming monitors and BFGDs (65-inch 4K 120Hz HDR G-Sync TVs) there has never been a time to be more excited about technology.
