While Star Citizen is still a while away from being finished, Elite Dangerous has been in the hands and hearts of gamers for months now. The studio behind it, Frontier Developments, is now showing off Elite Dangerous: Horizons.

Elite Dangerous: Horizons lets players land on planets, with the above video being a very rough version of the expansion. Frontier boss David Braben calls the video a "quick-and-dirty un-edited capture from a debug build on one of our dev machines, using the debug camera on an SRV and just zooming out ever faster". He added that there's "tons of little details we plan to tweak or fix".

The upcoming release of Elite Dangerous: Horizons will be interesting, as it's both an expansion and re-release of the original game. It's not just an expansion, but an entire season of expansions and updates, something that will include avatar customization and multi-crew ship experiences.
