With next month's release of the 24th James Bond 007 feature 'Spectre' marking the fourth time that Daniel Craig has played the role, the actor has poured a bucket of cold water on fans who want to see him to return for a fourth.
On the publicity trail for 'Spectre', the actor told Time Out London in no uncertain terms that he's done playing the superspy "I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on". In a subsequent question, Craig goes even further with the brutally honest assessment "If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money."
Of course, given 6 months off, it's always possible that Craig might come back to the negotiating table. But with comments like this, producers would best start looking around for a new 007.
