Everyone remembers using a View-Master as a kid, but kids these days are going to be growing up with AR and VR headsets and will forget the wonder that we all did when we were young. Well, View-Master has just announced its new revamped View-Master 'headset'.
The new View-Master viewer will reach stores later this month, providing people with the ability of looking into the VR headset and checking things out in a 360-degree environment. The new kit includes a red viewer that features a wider slot for smartphones (including the iPhone 6 Plus and Nexus 6) and a preview reed that is priced at $30.
There are three VR experience packs to choose from, which both come in physical form or in an app, with each additional pack costing $15. The experiences have been carefully crafted for kids age seven and up, with Mattel bringing in both NASA and National Geographic for some space and wildlife experiences.
