Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 arrives, IGN says pop-shove it in the garbage

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5 has been slammed by reviewers, IGN tells us to 'Pop-shove it in the garbage'

Described as a game where "the wheels quickly come off," IGN's recent Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 review by Marty Sliva points out some fairly encompassing faults in this once-great series.

With an aim to bring the Tony Hawk game series back to basics, Sliva points out frustrating issues with this game that includes unchangeable game controls, a clunky interface, major performance issues, poor game physics and issues with online gameplay.

This review does mention slivers of hope, times that found the author "getting back into that familiar rhythm that made me fall in love with the original games." With these bugs in mind, the core of all gameplay issues has been blamed on licensing issues. In order for Tony Hawk game licensing to be kept by the developer, a game must be produced within a certain time frame, leaving people to speculate that this particular title was rushed out of the studio simply to keep the licensing alive.
