Cameras roll on 'Assasin's Creed' feature film

It's been coming for years, but finally the train has left the station

After years of delays and production updates, the eagerly awaited feature film adaptation of Ubisoft's 'Assassin's Creed' franchise has finally entered production in Malta, according to the country's newspaper Malta Today. Production will then move to locales in London and Spain.




Starring Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch and Marion Cotillard in an as-yet unnamed role, the feature film is directed by Australian Justin Kurzel who has credits such as 'Snowtown' to his name. Twentieth Century Fox is bankrolling the production which will be released worldwide on December 21st 2016, disturbingly close to the release of 'Star Wars: Rogue One'.
