The slow takeover of VR is happening, with hotel chain Marriott announcing that it will be offering Gear VR headsets from Samsung. Not all locations will have Gear VR, but it's an interesting move by Marriott.
Marriott will provide a Gear VR headset for 24 hours of your stay in its current pilot program dubbed VRoom Service, which is a collaboration between Samsung and Marriott. The companies are collaborating on something it is calling "VR Postcards" where you can talk about your experiences of travel and the VR headset.
The hotel chain is already offering Netflix, so if we see the content streaming giant shift into supporting Gear VR, the Marriott hotel chain might see a big uptick in customers staying at their hotels with VR available.
