Steam wins over another title as SMITE joins its catalog

SMITE heads over to Steam with this extremely cheesy announcement video

Currently boasting 10 million players globally and a world championship tournament with over $2 million in cash prizes, SMITE has been kicking goals recently. Adding to this good news is the announcement of Steam support, beginning immediately.

This free to play third-person MOBA style game can be downloaded directly to your steam client and comes with the option to buy a special "Ultimate God Pack" at 33% off until September 13.

There's going to be no difference to players who already have accounts or who will be signing up through steam for the first time. Players with existing accounts may download and play the game through Steam with their profiles without any account migration. In addition, players may continue to use the original client as they wish, still able to battle with or against Steam users.
