One of the biggest GPU overclocking software comes from MSI in the form of Afterburner, with the video card and motherboard maker collaborating with overclocking organization HWBOT on the latest version of Afterburner Extreme - HWBOT Edition, which supports 'classic VGA cards'.
Afterburner Extreme is different to the normal Afterburner overclocking software, with Afterburner Extreme "takes things one step further allowing full control of voltages, facilitating seriously extreme overclocking at sub-zero temperatures", explains HWBOT. Now this 'extreme' version of Afterburner works on some of the big favorite cards from MSI, with their Hawk and Lighting series of video cards on both the NVIDIA and AMD sides of the fence.
Afterburner Extreme (ABX) as HWBOT explains was available "only to Extreme and Elite Overclockers on HWBOT and supported only current generation video cards. The new ABX HWBOT Edition adds support to a range of older cards and will be available to all HWBOT members. This allows the overclocking community to revisit classic VGA cards armed with the ultimate tweaking utility".
The new MSI Afterburner Extreme - HWBOT Edition can be downloaded here, weighing in at 35MB.
