Reddit Interim CEO Ellen Pao quits

The war for the popular message board seems to have been won

Internet message board reddit are looking at putting the the self styled "front page of the internet" back on a path of stability, after the resignation of interim CEO Ellen Pao and installation of founder Steve Huffman back in the role.

The brief, but controversial tenure of Ellen Pao has seen allegations of censorship by the community, as well as a communication style which grated against voluntary moderators, which culminated in dozens of sub reddits closed in response to the firing of Director of Communications, the popular staffer Victoria, who co-ordinated the sites 'AMA' pages (Ask Me Anything, for those not in the know).

A petition to oust Pao saw over 200,000 signatures collected, but with the membership of the popular site imploding, her position ultimately became untenable.
