Microsoft needs a boost with its Xbox One gaming console, and hopes an upcoming refresh will help woo potential customers. The new version, which was an expected announcement, features a 1TB hard drive, along with a modified Xbox One wireless controller.

The storage capacity has been doubled, a welcome addition that should be critical with more console gamers downloading digital games. Meanwhile, the new controller features a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, which is an improvement considering Microsoft didn't decide to include it the first time around.

The new Xbox One will cost $399, while the 500GB model will be available for $349.
