GIGABYTE launches new entry-level Z170-HD3 motherboard

GIGABYTE pushes its new entry-level Z170-HD3 motherboard for single video card applications.

Computex 2015 - With the general consumer in mind, GIGABYTE has pushed its new entry-level motherboard to the public in Taipei, Taiwan - the Z170-HD3 as seen on TechPowerUp.

This socket LGA1151 board is designed for Intel's 6th generation Core "Skylake" processors and is powered by a 24-pin ATX and 8-pin connector.

Supporting dual-channel DDR4 RAM across four total slots, one PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot is on offer alongside a PCI-E 2.0 x16 and two PCI-E 2.0 x1 and legacy PCI ports.

Two SATA-Express 16 Gb/s, six SATA 6 Gb/s and one 32 Gb/s M.2 port is on offer for connectivity alongside 8-channel HD audio support, audio-grade capacitors and ground-layer isolation.

As for display and connections, GIGABYTE have on offer one D-Sub, dual-link DVI and HDMI 2.0 ports, siz USB 3.0 ports and a gigabit Ethernet slot powered by a Realtek controller.
