An artist impression shows off a would-be iPhone from 1985

What if Steve Jobs brought out an 'iPhone' in the 80s, CRT and all? Imagine no longer

Calling Ronald Reagan, the Yugo car and Rock 'n' Roll - can you imagine what an iPhone would look like back in the 1980s?

Well someone can and here's what they think it would look like. This 'Macintosh Phone 512Kb' is designed by Pierre Cerveau and features a pristine 'Flick to Dial' keypad and roughly seems to resemble a Nintendo GameBoy in size and thickness. Perhaps a little thin for how it would have really looked, it's an awesome concept either way.

I wouldn't mind 3d-printing one of these and throwing it up on display - I'm sure there are a lot of my friends that would believe this product is real too!

As great as the idea is, I don't think you could have gotten much done on that small CRT screen and I wonder if you could hook up your printer to that single bottom 9-pin port?
