The Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4 have taken over, and Ubisoft won't bother too much with the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, the company has confirmed. Besides Just Dance, which will still ship for the previous console generation, don't expect to see other game series available for the older consoles.

"On Just Dance, we will continue to bring old-gen console versions," said Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, during a recent earnings briefing. "But on the other other products like Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, the Division and the unannounced franchise, we will not have old-gen versions."

Rainbow Six: Siege and Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be available before the end of the year, available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The Xbox One and PS4 captured 52 percent of all game sales for Ubisoft in its most recent fiscal year - and the game developer and publisher wants gamers to upgrade.
