The new May 2015 update for the Xbox One is rolling out today, with Microsoft baking in new voice messaging and SmartGlass features into the update.

Voice Messaging is something new for the Xbox One, but has been something that Xbox 360 users could enjoy for the last 9.5 years. It has taken Microsoft close to a decade to provide a simple update to the Xbox One that its previous generation console has enjoyed, but the May update has finally delivered. Xbox One users can now record and send voice messages to both Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners.

Microsoft has also updated the SmartGlass app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, something that allows people to use the SmartGlass app to turn their Xbox One on or off from the ease of their handset.
