MSI has just unveiled its new 990FXA GAMING motherboard, a new board that will take AMD CPUs and APUs, but the special feature here is the inclusion of USB 3.1.
USB 3.1 is up to twice as fast as USB 3.0, with the new 990FXA GAMING motherboard featuring two USB 3.1 ports. USB 3.1 allows for a huge 10Gbps, which is double that of USB 3.0's 5Gbps, and 20x faster than the speed USB 2.0 has on offer at 480Mbps. The new MSI 990FXA GAMING motherboard even features two USB 3.1 front headers, "for more convenience".
We also have a KillerNIC e2200 network port, Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 2, and support for both AMD CrossFire and NVIDIA SLI multi-GPU setups. MSI didn't stop there though, we they have also included full support for NVMe, which is a next generation storage standard.
