Sony's upcoming Android-powered 4K TVs will launch in May

Sony will launch its new 4K-capable, Android-powered TVs in May with pre-orders starting now

Sony has announced that its super-powered 4K TVs powered by Google's mobile OS will start shipping in May, powered by Sony's impressive X1 processor.

This is Sony's thinnest TV yet, thinner than most smartphones on the market. The company will begin shipping its X900C later this summer in 55-inch and 65-inch versions, with the larger 75-inch X910C arriving shortly after. No prices have been announced for these models just yet. But, there are many other models to choose from.

Sony's X830C will arrive in 43-inch and 49-inch models for $1299.99 and $1599.99, respectively. The X850C comes in three sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch for $2199.99, $3499.99 and $4999.99, respectively. The X930C model will arrive in a single 65-inch model for $4499.99 while the X940C arrives in a 75-inch model for a whopping $7999.99.

The Android-based sets will arrive as the W800C in 50-inch and 55-inch for $999.99 and $1299.99, respectively. The W850C will be larger with 65-inch and 75-inch for $1899.99 and $2999.99, respectively.
