The highly publicised 2003 legal wrangling between activist lawyer Jack Thompson and Rockstar Games over 'Grand Theft Auto III' which saw Thompson seek damages of nearly $250 million in damages from Take-Two Interactive, Sony Computer Entertainment America and Wal-Mart is about to be dramatised in an upcoming feature movie for BBC films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, British director Owen Harris is targeting 'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe to portray Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser in the feature which is due to start filming later this month.

The long running legal battle ultimately saw the eccentric lawyer disbarred in 2008, but not before receiving massive attention for the case and his other targets including rap music and even criticised the PlayStation Dual Shock controller for giving players a "pleasurable buzz". Gamers never did work out what he was actually doing with it.
