Dedicated cinemagoers who live near an IMAX cinema know the massive screen and superb sound system is the ultimate way to see blockbuster film releases, and now the Walt Disney company company has signed an agreement with the company which extends a partnership which began in 2000 with the release of the first IMAX processed theatrical film - 'Fantasia 2000', for another three years.
According to ComingSoon, Disney and IMAX have agreed to a contract extension out to 2017 from Disney's stable of studios including Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm. Titles due out over this time include eagerly awaited films such as 'Star Wars: Rogue One' and 'Star Wars: Episode VIII', 'Ant-Man', 'Captain America: Civil War', 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2', 'Toy Story 4' and the currently filming 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'.
