Established in 1997 as a DVD mailing service before becoming the streaming behemoth it is today, Netflix has finally launched it's Australian offering at prices starting at $8.99 AUD monthly, up to the $14.99 AUD for the top tier package with 4K content.
For those new to the service who want to dip their toe before committing completely, the company is today offering a free 30 day trial of the platform after signing up with your credit card. However, users not wanting to continue after this period will be charged if they don't cancel before the 30 days is up.
Early impressions have been mixed for the Australian service, with many fans disappointed by the lack of content, with little more than 15% of the content featured in the US version, although others have been pleased with the reasonable pricing structure.
