ASUS has launched the ZenBook UX305 ultrabook, a 13.3-inch device that is just 0.48-inches thick and weighs only 2.6lbs.
The ZenBook UX305 runs Microsoft Windows 8.1, using an Intel Core M 5Y10 CPU, Intel HD Graphics 5300, running 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. The starting $699 price point will make it an interesting competitor in the ultra-thin and light mobile market which the Apple MacBook Air has found great success in cornering.
The ASUS ZenBook UX305 with Full HD display is available now, while the model with QHD+ display will launch later this year.
Consumers are finding a number of different appealing laptops and similar products, helping boost the PC market - and with Microsoft Windows 10 on the horizon - this could be a critical time to get potential buyers interested.
