Apple has sold over 1 billion iOS devices to date

Apple didn't just report an insane amount of earnings for the quarter, but it has sold over 1 billion iOS devices in total

Apple just reported its quarterly earnings, pulling in a massive $74.6 billion in gross revenue for the quarter, of which $18 billion was net profit. It's not all about those numbers though, as the company has now shipped over one billion iOS devices.

Apple CEO Tim Cook noted that the billionth device sold was, of course, a 64GB iPhone 6 Plus, which is the company's flagship handset. Apple will be keeping the device at its headquarters in Cupertino in honor of the massive milestone.
