For those who spent time playing Maniac Mansion all those years ago, you'll want, no need to know about Thimbleweed Park. Thimbleweed Park is the spiritual successor to Maniac Mansion, and has secured itself a huge $626,000 from Kickstarter.
The developers had a goal of $375,000 but passed that by a huge 67%, which means we get to enjoy some great stretch goals. We have translations that will be completed in five languages, with the English version featuring full voice acting. Thimbleweed Park will be ported over to Android and iOS as well, which is great to see.
Rob Gilbert and Gary Winnick, the developers behind Thimbleweed Park said in a Kickstarter update "The support for Thimbleweed Park has been completely and totally overwhelming. Once again, thank you thank you thank you for believing in us. We're going to make the best damn point & click adventure game possible and we could not have done it without your help."
