- Corsair Announces Fastest 1GB PC-3200 Module / $20 Doom3 Rebate

Corsair are doing the rounds today with two press releases, the first of which they officially announce their new XMS 3200 1GB single memory module with aggressive 2-3-3-6 latencies, making it the fastest of it's type. These also come in a 2GB matched pair offering of course, full details below.

Fremont, CA, August 9, 2004: Corsair Memory, Inc., a global leader in ultra-performance DDR memory modules for PC gamers and enthusiasts, today announced new XMS 3200 speed 1 GByte modules supporting CAS-2 latencies. Following the success of the company's 1 GByte PC3200 CAS-3 modules, these new products offer the same speed and density but support lower latencies and improved performance. These memory modules offer incredibly fast 400MHz speeds at aggressive 2-3-3-6 latencies.

These modules are available as a 1 GByte module or a 2 GByte matched pair of modules that have been tested together in a dual channel motherboard. This part is the first 1 GByte CAS-2 module on the market, offering exceptional performance in extreme gaming conditions.

Joe James, Corsair Marketing Director, says "Corsair blows away the competition with the highest density CAS-2 part available anywhere. These modules give you the best of everything -- speed, density, and latency."

Corsair also bring to our attention a $20 rebate upon purchasing Doom3 at the moment along with any of their 1GB XL module kits (such as the TwinX1024-3200XL, TwinX1024-3200XLPT, and TwinX1024-3200XLPRO). Details on the rebate can be obtained within Corsair's PDF document here, along with further advertising here.

Fremont, CA, August 9, 2004: Corsair Memory, Inc., a global leader in ultra-performance DDR memory modules for PC gamers and enthusiasts, today announced a $20 rebate on selected memory modules when purchased with the DOOM 3 game.

The XL modules have garnered over 40 awards since their launch in May 2004, making the Corsair XL the most highly awarded memory module of the year. Most recently, the XL modules were selected as "Must Have Hardware" by Kyle Bennett of [H]ardOCP in the Official Doom3 [H]ardware Guide. Both the game and the XL memory must be purchased between August 1 and August 31, 2004 from any retailer in the USA to be eligible for the rebate, and the mail-in must be postmarked by September 20, 2004.

As the most highly anticipated first person shooter (FPS) game of 2004, DOOM 3 promises to become an instant rave among gamers.
