- Actiontec Wireless Digital Media Player

It's been a quiet weekend on the news front, but GideonTech have found some time to review Actiontec's new Wireless Digital Media player which in many ways is able to take over the tasks of a dedicated home theatre PC. It allows you to stream audio, video, and images both wired and wirelessly to your amplifier/tv. Also provided is a handy remote control and an 802.11b wireless card to boot.

If you've always wanted a HTPC (home theatre PC) of some sort, but didn't have the no how or equipment to finish it, the Actiontec Wireless Digital Media Player may be your life saver.

There are numerous video output methods through the use of either the DVI, component, composite and s-video. Audio output is taken care of by the standard RCA (composite) or the more expensive optical cable transfer.
