The last James Bond picture, 'Skyfall' grossed $1.1 billion worldwide during its release 2 years ago, a record for the series and the the ninth highest grossing picture of all time. But rights holders Sony and MGM have taken their sweet time to get the next film into production, but it looks like that production is now ramping up.
The script by Robert Wade and Neal Purvis has been finalised and sets are being constructed in Obertilliach, Austria along with preparation for an elaborate plan crash sequence.
But what about the all important villain? Well, it looks like the production have found their man - none other than 'Inglorious Basterds' and 'Django Unchained' star Christopher Waltz. Waltz is undoubtedly a perfect choice for the franchise and a stunning actor in his own right, having nabbed Oscars for both Tarantino pictures.
The as-yet untitled 24th Bond picture is set to be released on October 23rd 2015 and directed by 'Skyfall' helmer Sam Mendes.
