Star Wars: Episode VII gets new title - it's what you'd least expect

Episode VII won't be known as Episode VII for much longer.

Fresh from the news that filming on the latest 'Star Wars' has wrapped in London, comes an official announcement of the title from Disney and Lucasfilm.

Eagle eyed readers will note the complete absence of 'Episode VII'. Could it be that Disney intend to complete drop the naming convention?

Fans have accepted the title pretty well, although I must admit to having a little trouble. I'm not sure how the Force can go to sleep exactly? In the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi:

Well, the Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', with or without 'Episode VII' opens on December 18th, 2015.
