- Albatron Launches PX925X Pro-RW & PX925X Pro-RW

PR's from all the big mainboard manufacturers are popping up at the beginning of a fresh week after Intel's 915 / 925 chipsets were launched on the weekend. Two more, this time from Albatron announcing their PX925X Pro-RW and PX915G Pro boards.

Albatron Technology recently announced two mainboards featuring PCI-Express along with the new LGA 775 socket design. The PX915P Pro and the PX915G Pro represent Albatron¡¦s new wave of performance mainboards. These boards also come with improved power supply design, capacitor quality and high performance memory capabilities.

PCI Express is a revolutionary interconnect specification that focuses on direct serial communications between board components. This board contains 2 PCI Express X1 slots that are capable of 250 MB/s data transfer rates. The PCI Express X16 slot utilizes PCI Express technology for its graphics processing replacing its predecessor AGP technology. It requires a PCI Express graphics card and can deliver 4 GB/s transfer rates.

- Shuttle Announces 915G Based XPC's

Two more PR's, these being from Shuttle announcing 2 new small form factor PC's which enhance upon their already extensive XPC range. Both the SB81P and SB83G5 XPC's are based upon Intel's new 915G chipset (being the first to offer such technology in an SFF format). Differing mainly in chassis design, you can check out the supporting PR's on the SB81P here, and the SB83G5 here.

With support for Intel Pentium® 4 LGA 775 processors and the latest 16X PCI Express graphics cards, the XPC SB83G5 delivers unprecedented power for mainstream buyers. Users can enhance and extend this small form factor computer via built-in Serial ATA RAID, gigabit LAN, FireWire® 400, open 32-bit PCI slot and wireless LAN compatibility (optional PN15 Wireless LAN Module).

Further, the XPC SB83G5 comes to market with an all-new ICE (integrated cooling engine) heat pipe design, including a 92mm fan featuring linear control, and advanced airflow mechanics making it one of the coolest, quietest small form factor computers.
