NVIDIA has opened up the pre-orders for the LTE-powered version of its Shield Tablet, with a $100 premium over the Wi-Fi only model available for $299. The $399 price does include 32GB of on-board storage, versus the 16GB of flash inside of the original model - as well as the LTE radio.
The company has taken the time to highlight some upcoming Android games to soon arrive on the Shield Tablet, games that all start with the letter 'B'. We have Beach Buggy Racing, BombSquad, and Broadsword. The new LTE-capable Shield Tablet will sell for $399, a $100 premium over the Wi-Fi only model at $299, and will not include a SIM.
NVIDIA has said that the LTE-powered Shield Tablet is certified for AT&T's 4G LTE network, and if consumers activate it on a qualifying plan, they'll receive a $100 bill credit. The new LTE-powered Tegra K1-based Shield Tablet will be available on September 30 online, and at selected retailers.
