A translation of this post says that the PlayStation Home service is maintained by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and Sony Computer Entertainment America are exempt from this shut down, meaning Europeans and Americans are safe from their Home services being closed for good. Sony's PlayStation Home opened up on the PS3 first, back as a beta test in Japan in August 2008.
