Snake smokes an e-spliff in Metal Gear Solid 5's E3 2014 demo
Snake smokes a 'Phantom Cigar' to pass time in Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain.
If you've got a spare 30 minutes to waste, you can watch a detailed video of Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain. During the demo, Snake himself smokes a 'Phantom Cigar' to pass the time, which "speeds up the user's perception of time" as it is a "cigar blended with a medicinal herb" - so, essentially, Snake lights up a spliff to pass the time in MGS 5 between guard changes in a mission. Check out the video below.
While Snake is puffing away, the demo provides a slick night and day changeover - passing an entire day of in-game time, in a few seconds of real-time. With the amount of realism pumped into the game, it seems Snake requires no rest, food, or a toilet break, even after smoking an e-cigar for 48 hours of in-game time. The rest of the demo shows off some impressive technology and gameplay, with this being one of the more exciting games coming to the PlayStation 4.
