Ubisoft's Uplay service is causing problems with Watch Dogs on PC

The launch of Watch Dogs has been met with controversy - did you expect any less? - with Useless Uplay causing some serious issues for PC gamers. Some PC gamers have been unable to access Watch Dogs, as they've been receiving authentication errors through Uplay.

Ubisoft has fired back, saying it is addressing the issue: "We are experiencing issues with the authentication services. Players may experience long delays when trying to login in-game. More to come. All the possible efforts are put into the resolution of this problem. We are currently monitoring the situation closely. The connection is rising and the issue still seems intermittent, the sign in system might work after several tries".

We've said it once, but we'll say it again - also watch out for that torrent of Watch Dogs that is installing Bitcoin miners onto gamers' PCs.
