Former Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins (Team Sky) won the 2014 Tour of California, with full support from his Sky teammates. Rounding out the final podium was Rohan Dennis (Garmin-Sharp), 30 seconds down, and Lawson Craddock (Team Giant-Shimano), one minute, 48 seconds behind Wiggins.

Team Cannondale's Peter Sagan won the green points jersey (47 points), with William Routley (Optum p/b/ Kelly Benefit Strategies) capturing the polka dot mountain jersey, and Craddock won the white jersey for best young rider.

The Tour of California continues to grow each year, with bigger names from the European peloton heading to the Golden State every May. The statewide race is the No. 1 cycling race in the United States, and will likely only garner more fan support heading into 2015.

If selected to the Sky Tour de France Team, Wiggins has promised his full support of 2013 Tour de France winner Chris Froome.
