Sony rolls out a new digital camera in the Cyber-shot range with a digital viewfinder, NFC, Wi-Fi, and it can record video.
Sony has rolled out a new digital camera that slips into its Cyber-shot digital camera line called the RX100 III. One of the features that set this camera apart from some of the others in the line is that it has an integrated electronic viewfinder.
That viewfinder is a SVGA OLED unit with ZEISS T* coating. Resolution for the camera is 20.1MP and it uses an Exmor R sensor for low light shooting. The lens is a 24-70mm F1.8 Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* unit. On the rear of the camera is a 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD.
Video recording is supported with AVCHD, MP4, and XAVC S formats. Video can be sent directly to a TV via an HDMI output. The camera also has P/A/S/M operating modes with a precise control ring. Other features include Wi-Fi and NFC tech for pairing with a smartphone. Interested photography fans can pre-order the camera now for $799.99.
