Samsung has been bragging about the sales of its new Galaxy S5 smartphone. The latest tidbit from Samsung on the success of its latest smartphone is that the S5 has outsold the S4 in its first month of availability. Since the Galaxy S5 launched, Samsung has sold 11 million units.
A company spokesman announced the sales stat this week and claims that the S5 has sold better in its first month than the S4 did in its first month of availability. The S4 sold 10 million units 27 days after it went on sale. Samsung has been criticized over the S5 with some feeling it brought little change to the table.
Two of the new features the S5 adds are a fingerprint scanner and a heart rate monitor. However, some have claimed that those two features don't always work properly. Samsung is under pressure in the smartphone market to offer new and exciting products.
