Nikon has added a pair of new digital mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras to its line of offerings. The new cameras include the J4 and the S2 with both of them falling into the Nikon 1 line. The S2 has a resolution of 14.2MP and the J4 has a resolution of 18.4MP.

The two cameras share the same ISO range up to 12800 and are compact and lighter than the previous cameras in the line. Nikon's J4 will ship this month for $650 including a 3x optical zoom kit lens. In June, the Nikon 1 S2 will ship with an 11-27.5mm lens and sell for $450.

Those two cameras make the mirrorless interchangeable lens series more affordable for entry-level shooters. Features to improve image quality are built into both cameras. Both of the cameras also support 1080p video recording and creative effects. Both cameras can also shoot bursts at up to 20fps.
