The last time we heard about Watch Dogs on the PS4, is when we thought it would be running at 1080p at 60FPS... well, that was wrong. Ubisoft has just announced that Watch Dogs will be running at 900p on the PS4, and just 792p on the Xbox One - both versions at 30FPS.
Watch Dogs' Creative Director, Jonathon Morin, has said: "Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number. All those numbers are valid aspects of making games. But you make choices about the experience you want to deliver. In our case, dynamism is everything. Exploration and expression are everything".
I don't quite agree there, with the statement that "resolution is a number," sure it's a number - but if this were running at 1080p at 60FPS, Ubisoft would be bragging about it. 900p at 30FPS isn't too next-gen in my books, what do you think?
