- nVidia FX Card Round up

The folks over at Modfathers have decided to take a look at a few nVidia based cards over the weekend. Namely, these are the PNY5700 Ultra, Sparkle FX5900XT, and Gainward FX5950 Ultra. Obviously each card being focused on different levels of the gaming community.

How reviews happen can sometimes be a matter of careful planning or sometimes they just seem to happen. In this case this review falls into the "it just seemed to happen" category. It all started when I mentioned that I would like to see which would be the best nVidia based cards for the games that I play. Next thing I knew I was sitting in my dining room with a PNY FX5700Ultra Graphics card, a Sparkle FX5900XT and a Gainward FX5950Ultra Golden Sample on my lap. Well I guess all there was left open to me was to stick them into my system and to start playing games, oh and to review them whilst doing this.

- AMD Heatpipe CPU coolers roundup

If you're on the lookout for a better air cooling solution for your AMD system, the fellas over at Radikalmod have rounded up a few heatpipe coolers for review, two of these by Aerocool (the DP101, and DP102), as well as nPowertek's NPH-2.

Heatpipe technology is not unknown among the PC enthusiasts, Zalman has created a very succesfull line for graphics card coolers and also a fanless HDD cooler. Now it reached CPU coolers as well, and since the first ones arrived to Hungary and to our test lab, we will test three heat sinks.
