Former Paris-Roubaix winner Johan Vansummeren will race tomorrow for the Garmin-Sharp cycling team, one week after a frightening crash during the Tour of Flanders last weekend.

Vansummeren collided with spectators in a center median on the roadway, in which an elderly lady was transported to the hospital and placed in an intensive care unit.

Following the crash, Vansummeren said this to the local media: "I am in shock. I have a black eye and a few stitches, but that's not important now. I feel bad for the people involved. I have no desire to go further into (details) of the crash. IT would only get bogged down on who is to blame."
