Nikon has a lot of different cameras on the market today running from point and shoot units to high-end DSLRs. Specifications on a new camera that isn't announced yet have hit the web called the Coolpix P700. The camera is thought to be a replacement for the P600 pictured here.
The P700 boasts a huge zoom range with the leak claiming that it will feature a 24-2000mm f/3.5-8.5 lens. The leak also tips a magnesium body with a big grip. Despite using a magnesium body, the camera is reportedly 45.8 ounces in weight.
The big feature other than the huge zoom range is a 1-inch Aptina made sensor. The camera also uses an Expeed 4 image processor and has a 3.5-inch LCD. There is no word on the resolution of that big sensor. The source of the rumor claims the camera will be unveiled in May.
