The customizations allow for gamers to use any type of surface and change the settings so it performs better. Logitech included a wide DPI range from 200 up to 12,000, with the ability to track movement at 300 inches per second. Gamers interested in changing the mouse's weight can use up to five slots to add 3.6g weights, something that Logitech has embraced in the past.

The Logitech G502 Proteus Core will be available later this month with a $79.99 MSRP.

"With the world's best sensor technology, complete surface, weight and balance tuning and mechanical switches, we have made a mouse that dominates," said Ehtisham Rabbani, Logitech gaming business general manager, in a press statement. "The Logitech G team believes that when hype fades, Science Wins!"
